What is D2 Steel?
D2 steel is a high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel known for its exceptional performance in knife making. It contains about 1.5% carbon and 11-13% chromium, which gives it semi-stainless properties — better corrosion resistance than regular carbon steel, but not fully stainless.
