Blackish D2 Steel refers to D2 tool steel with a black powder coating applied on the blade surface. This gives the knife a tactical matte black or blackish appearance while retaining all the performance benefits of D2 steel.

D2 is a high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel (semi-stainless) widely used in premium handmade knives. It is prized for its excellent edge retention and wear resistance.

Our black powder coated D2 blades are heat-treated to 58-62 HRC (Rockwell Hardness Scale). This hardness range provides:

What is a Micarta Handle?
A Micarta handle is a premium, high-performance composite material made by layering linen, canvas, or paper with epoxy resin under high heat and pressure.

What is Full Tang?
Full Tang means the blade steel runs continuously through the entire length of the handle, forming one solid piece from the tip of the blade to the end of the handle.
Instead of the blade being inserted into a handle (hidden tang), the steel is visible on both sides and the handle scales are attached directly to it.

A full tang construction is very important because it makes the knife:
